The 8th Global Forum on Gender Statistics, the EFARN event and the public roundtable on gender equality in film have been postponed.

During July, the decision to postpone the UNWDF to 2021 was communicated on our website and social networks. As a reminder, the UNWDF will thus take place from Sunday 3rd to Wednesday 6th October 2021.

The two events each dealing with key themes addressed by Road to Bern and the UNWDF, the 8th Global Forum on Gender Statistics, as well as the EFARN event and the public roundtable on equality in film have also been postponed due to the still uncertain situation and in order to avoid too far a time lag with the UNWDF 2021.

The 8th Global Forum on Gender Statistics will bring together about 200 producers and users of gender statistics from national and international statistical institutes, other government agencies, international organisations, academia, civil society, the private sector and the sponsor community. The forum will be an opportunity to consider ways to improve data and information on gender equality policies in line with the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and to mark the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

The European Film Agency Research Network (EFARN) is a specialist body that meets for two days every year. For example, it is responsible for formulating standardised definitions for relevant statistical parameters, such as country of origin or gender in film, or for considering and implementing the collection of statistical data in new areas, such as video on demand or equality in the film industry. Every year, the meeting of the EFARN is organised in a different country of the European Council. This year it will take place in Bern.

The new dates for both events have not yet been decided but we will let you know as soon as possible via our website and social media.
