- 27 August 2020, measure our progress towards the SDGs, jointly organised by SDSN Switzerland and the FSO
SDSN Switzerland and the Federal Statistical Office organised an event as part of the Road to Bern to present and discuss the various tools and initiatives analysing progress towards achieving the SDGs at national, regional and global level. These firstly include the formal processes of various monitoring systems at global level (such as the SDG indicators established by the IAEG-SDG) and at national level (such as the MONET 2030 indicator system). They also include various types of evaluations of progress in the areas of the SDGs such as the Sustainable Development Index (SDI) developed by Dr. Jason Hickel, the SDG Index dashboards developed by SDSN Global, the Global Sustainability Report (GSDR) and Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs). This event took place in hybrid form with some participants present at the Maison de la Paix in Geneva while others took part online. The Director of the FSO and other speakers were on hand for an enriching and constructive dialogue on the measurement of the SDGs.
