Sustainability: The Future of Business?

The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015 is a global reference framework to be implemented by all actors of the society, including the private sector. This event will be an opportunity to discuss not only the contribution of the private sector to the realization of the Sustainable Development goals of the 2030 Agenda but also how companies can be themselves more sustainable.
Sustainability is becoming more important for all companies, across all industries. Many executives consider a sustainability strategy necessary to be competitive today. Sustainability is a business approach to creating long-term value by taking into consideration how a given organization operates in the ecological, social and economic environment. Sustainability is built on the assumption that developing such strategies foster company longevity.
