How does Switzerland’s international cooperation contribute to sustainable development?

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Director Patrizia Danzi will discuss with experts from civil society and academia the role of Switzerland’s international cooperation in implementing the Agenda 2030. What contribution does the Swiss international cooperation make to global sustainable development? What are the challenges? How does international cooperation reach the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world? Why is there still so much poverty in the world despite decades of international cooperation? Doesn’t international cooperation actually play a role that the governments of developing countries should take on themselves? How can governments be held responsible? These are some of the questions to be discussed.

Patricia Danzi, Director SDC
Thomas Breu, Director Center for Development and Environment (CDE)
Kristina Lanz, Development Policy Expert, Alliance Sud
Moderation: Markus Mugglin, publicist
